Kayleigh Penny is Client Services Head at Empica, leading client communications strategies across our broad range of sectors including professional services, charities, property, healthcare and the funeral sector.
With more than 15 years’ experience in public relations, Kayleigh specialises in media relations, campaign delivery, social media planning and client account leadership, combining strategic communications expertise with a highly approachable and collaborative style.
Experience & Background
Kayleigh joined Empica in 2010 and has played a key role in the agency’s growth and client delivery for more than 15 years.
After studying English and English Language at university, graduating with First Class Honours, she gained early communications experience through a placement with the Meningitis Research Foundation, supporting national awareness campaigns, media relations and digital content.
She began her PR career at an agency specialising in food and beverage accounts including major consumer brands before joining Empica shortly afterwards.
Since then, Kayleigh has led communications activity for clients across a wide variety of sectors, delivering integrated PR campaigns, building strong media relationships, and supporting organisations with both proactive communications and reputation management.
Media Relations & Client Leadership Specialism
Kayleigh is particularly experienced in managing day-to-day client communications activity and building long-term relationships with both clients and journalists.
She has secured coverage across regional, trade and national media and works closely with organisations to develop communications campaigns that are both strategic and commercially focused.
Alongside media relations work, she also supports clients with social media planning, campaign messaging and communications advice during sensitive or high-pressure situations.
