Moroccan television, radio, online and newspaper journalists attended a press conference in Marrakech where Empica arranged for Louise Brown, the world’s first IVF baby to make her first ever visit to the continent of Africa in the year of her 40th birthday.
The world interest in Louise is ramping up as she approaches the big birthday, which is also a milestone for assisted reproductive technology which has now brought around 10 million babies into the world.
Louise was a guest of the Marrakech Fertility Institute at their 3rd International Symposium which attracted fertility experts from all over the world.
Empica Managing Director Martin Powell said: “With interviewers speaking French, Arabic and English and much of the proceedings conducted through an interpreter they were hectic sessions but everyone went away with the pictures and stories they needed.”
